Dear GAAE Members,

Greetings!

The board of directors of the Georgia Association of Accounting Educators (GAAE) is diligently preparing for our 2024 annual meeting. Our primary goal is to offer you a range of exceptional training sessions, enriching workshops, and invaluable networking opportunities as you gear up for another academic year.

I am thrilled to announce that this year’s meeting will be hosted in the charming city of Thomasville, Georgia. Join us on Friday, February 2, and Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the Southern Regional Technical College campus in Thomasville. We are honored to have Dr. Mark Dawkins from the University of North Florida, who is also the president-elect of the American Accounting Association, grace us as our Keynote speaker.

Presentations during our annual meeting will be delivered by esteemed accounting faculty from Georgia, Florida, and both North and South Carolina. We value the collective wisdom of our members, so we encourage you to contribute by answering our call for proposals. Please consider submitting your insights and experiences before the deadline on November 30, 2023.

The GAAE annual meeting is not just about imparting knowledge; it’s also an avenue to foster connections. This event will present a golden opportunity to meet new colleagues and rekindle bonds with familiar faces, all united by our shared commitment to excellence in accounting education throughout Georgia.

On behalf of the GAAE board and myself, we eagerly await to welcome you in February 2024. Kindly follow the provided links to register for the conference and book your accommodation.

Warm regards,

Ann Young
