The Georgia Association of Accounting Educators (GAAE) seeks to form a close relationship among accounting educators in the various colleges and universities of Georgia, advance the standards of instruction in those institutions, and form a close relationship with members of the accounting profession. The Association was founded in 1952 and its membership is open to accounting instructors in both public and private institutions of higher learning and to others who share the Association’s objectives.
The GAAE meets annually during February at a location selected by the members. The two-day annual meeting generally includes special plenary speakers who address emerging issues and challenges facing the profession and/or the academy and sessions where participants select from a variety of professional development topics designed to help them strengthen their professional knowledge and teaching skills.
